Corona Virus Update 4/12

Easter and Spring are a time of rebirth.
I struggled with how to express Easter wishes in the middle of a pandemic.
The answer came from one of our AFT Connecticut AFT Nurses & Health Professionals Local leaders, who is at the bedside every day.
She sent me this.

We are 37 days since our first confirmed Covid positive case in Connecticut.
41,220 have been tested
12,035 have tested positive
1654 are currently hospitalized, up  61 from yesterday
554 have died, up 60

Please, if you or your members are asked to care for a Covid positive patient or a PUI (person under investigation/rule out) without prober PPE, including an N95, please let your Local leadership know, DPH know at https://dphflisevents.ct.gov , and me know at jbrady@aftct.org

Be safe my friends,
John
